Corn People in the Valley

CORN PEOPLE – Transylvania County

They are alive – line the valley floors of the French Broad – what was its original name?

The name of the French Broad River in French was the Agiqua River, the Native Americans of this area – the Cherokee Indians – called it different names: Poelico, Agiqua (broad) in the mountains, Tahkeeosteh (racing waters) from Asheville down and Zillicoah above Asheville. [1]

The Cherokees had several names for river, including Tah-kee-os-tee or "racing waters," as well as Poe-li-co, Agiqua, and Zillicoah.[2]

The Fairies of the Moutain wild uplands (see Fairies in Transylvania County) are ceremonially related to the Corn People of the valley floors... somehow there is a relationship... which much be maintained by annual Dances

Has to do with the Flooding Waters of the FBR bringing Mountan Soil and Fertile, Clean Water to ... Corn Valleys?

What is the Nature of the Corn Folk?
